It’s been a while since we posted to our blog. We have so many new things going on for the next year and can’t wait to share all the projects we are working on. Before we wrap up for the year though we have a couple of things I’ve been wanting to share for some time so here goes. Back in October we met up with Jade and Robyn for Jade’s “senior” portraits in Downtown Littleton. Jade is technically a junior but will be graduating early and needed some pics to choose from for her yearbook. We’d had the opportunity to work with Jade during the family sessions and wedding for Robyn and Chuck (Jade is Robyn’s daughter) so it was a lot of fun to shoot this session. Here’s just a few of the pictures we took that afternoon.

Over the years looking at thousands and thousands of photos I’ve developed an obsession with teeth- straight, white, and of course smiling
Well the Rysner family takes that obsession to a whole other level. I guess that’s what happens though when you look at teeth for a living. If you hadn’t guessed already, Dr Rysner is a dentist, and not just any dentist… he’s MY dentist! For a few years I struggled finding a good dentist and my parents recommended I see Dr Rysner because not only was he a great dentist but a great guy as well. Needless to say they were right and I no longer dread going to the dentist- seriously if you need an awesome dentist he’s your man! Anyway awhile back he contacted me to set up some family pictures but between both our schedules and life it wasn’t until this fall that we got the chance to finally meet his whole family and take photos for them. His wife Jill and their two boys were just as great- we really enjoyed the afternoon with everyone! Fall is a favorite of mine and you just can’t pass up throwing leaves it’s too much fun
Here’s a sneak peek from our session- thanks guys! And yes I remembered to floss
hehe
A few years back we photographed some business portraits for Seth Jenson and the Jenson Real Estate Group. They needed some updated pictures to include a few new team members so we had the opportunity to work with them again! Seth is actually the agent helping us sell our house and has been great so if you are selling your home or in the market to buy we highly recommend him! Anyway we met them downtown near Commons Park a few weeks back for their session. The weather was beautiful that day except for one thing- the wind! It happened to be one of those really windy Colorado days. It’s a good thing my camera can take so many frames per second so we could capture those moments when the wind calmed down before another gust came through. We had a great time meeting everyone and got some beautiful light for the pictures. Here’s a sneak peek from our day. Enjoy!
A couple weeks ago we met Millie and her family up at Red Rocks for a family portrait session. There was a concert that evening but we generally don’t run into too many people as long as we arrive several hours before the concert. Apparently this crowd was a little different. It looked as though they had been camped out for hours or even days and there were lots of interesting characters- including one man running around in just his underwear and a bathrobe. I guess that’s to be expected when you attend a concert featuring one of the members of the Grateful Dead. It was quite amusing to people watch while we met up with Millie and her family- you couldn’t help but laugh- I guess the perfect atmosphere for starting pictures:-) We met Millie through her son, Chris, who I had worked with for a few years at my day job. Chris purchased the session for his mom as a gift last year which made the perfect opportunity for some pictures of the family. We had a wonderful time getting to meet everyone. Even saw a few deer on the steep rocks while we were photographing which Chris’ daughter, Moorea, found quite entertaining- she’s such a cutie! Millie, you and your family were a pleasure to work with and we really hope we get the chance to work with you again in the future!
Our second session in September also brought us back to Wash Park for Robyn & Chuck’s engagement and family session. We met Robyn at Heather & Don’s wedding back in May and are so glad we had the opportunity to work with her, Chuck and their girl’s as well. Since Robyn’s daughter, Jade, and Chuck’s daughter, Christina, would be part of the wedding it only made sense to include them in the engagement photos for a combo engagement/family session. Robyn’s friend Diane (who we also met at Heather & Don’s wedding) also joined us during the session with her cute little puppy. We knew that they were going to be a really fun group to work with- after all they were friends of Heather & Don, and sure enough they were just as much fun as we thought they would be. We had a great time photographing them that afternoon! Even got a fun “cheesy” family photo at the end- dogpile! Here’s just a few of my favorites from the day. Check back for their wedding photos sometime this next week.
